The Big Chili River

The Bolshaya Chili River (Altaic name Yang-Shile or Yang-Chili) is a river flowing into Lake Teletskoye between the mountains Altyn-Tuu (Golden Mountain) and Kara-Korum (Black Placer).

Translated from Altai – "Big window". In ancient times, most of Chile was the hunting grounds of the Altai seok Tittas.

It is the largest of the left tributaries of Lake Teletskoye, with a length of 48 km.

Big Chile originates on the slopes of the mountain (2232) Sumultinsky ridge, near Lake Kokkel.

The mouth of the river is a good place to dock and wait out the weather. At the mouth there is a platform consisting of a pile of granite boulders and pebbles, overgrown with larches and birches.

This place is ideal for fishing on Lake Teletskoye. Any fisherman has a chance to catch grayling here, and maybe even taimen.
