- Mount Salop
Mount Salop is located south of the village of Turochak on the right bank of the Biya River. Translated from the Altai language, the name of this mountain sounds like "open robe".
The mountain is crowned with several peaks, the highest of which is popularly called by different names: "Tooth" or "Fang" or "Devil's finger". The height is 1089 meters above sea level). Salop is visible both from Turochak and from many points of the Biya coast.
Climbing the mountain is not a serious challenge, but good physical fitness is necessary for climbing. There is a section on the route that requires some effort — it is almost a sheer wall in front of the very top. You have to climb here with the help of an extended cable.
From the top there is a magnificent view of the village of Turochak, the rivers Lebed and Biya.
The excursion to Mount Salop is suitable for lovers of outdoor activities, beautiful views and gorgeous photos against the backdrop of picturesque mountains.
