Chuysky Trakt is one of the most beautiful roads in the world. Ulagansky Pass is the highest pass in Altai with an asphalt surface. Kurkure Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Altai. Teletskoye Lake is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We have combined these amazing places and created a unique tour "Golden Ring of Altai", which will allow you to immerse yourself in the realm of enchanting Altai nature, enjoy otherworldly landscapes and peek into the most hidden corners of the Mountain Altai. Despite the fact that our tour partially runs through places devoid of civilization and even wild areas, we have provided comfortable accommodation, exclusive cuisine from our chef and travel in premium-class cars throughout the route – so that nothing distracts you from contemplation and unity with Altai nature.

Day 1

No matter how long your journey to Altai is, you can fully rely on us as soon as the plane delivers you to Gorno-Altaysk Airport.

Immediately after the meeting and a short briefing, our exciting journey through the Altai land will begin. We will head south of the republic along the road running along the Katun River. From the car window, fast-flowing streams of water will constantly open before our eyes, captivating with their audio-visual presentation. To recharge with the indomitable energy of Katun, we will make several stops near the majestic rapids, including at a restaurant on the riverbank.

After that, we will head to the location of our first overnight stay – an eco-hotel located 10 kilometers from Katun along the Chuysky Trakt. Here you can relax after the flight, enjoy a Russian bath and get used to the new time zone.

Day 2

The second day will prepare a huge adventure of 460 kilometers along one of the most picturesque roads on the planet – the Chuysky Trakt, passing among the majestic mountains along the grandiose passes. At the top of one of them – Seminsky Pass – we will make our first stop, from where we will have an incomprehensible beauty view of Mount Sarlyk, scratching its summit against the gray clouds slowly floating by.

Inspired by this poetic beauty, we will continue our journey to the next pass – Chike-Taman. Here, not only a stop is planned for us, but also a climb to the observation deck, from where we can see the old Chuysky Trakt, along which merchants and warriors have passed for centuries.

Having enjoyed this view to the fullest, we will descend down to arrange lunch on the bank of a turbulent mountain river. As we descend, we will witness a mystical performance in which the mountains, like reviving gods, will become taller and more menacing, and the grass, on the contrary, will become lower and quieter.

And again on the way. Today we have to meet our old acquaintance again – the beautiful mountain Katun. In our next place of standing, it will merge in trembling embraces with its younger sister Chuya. This place of power is saturated with historical and archaeological monuments related to the movement of ancient Altai peoples. A little further along the Chuysky Trakt, we will see traces of their civilization – near the Kalbak-Tash glade, a magnificent collection of more than three thousand ancient petroglyphs and rock paintings from the Neolithic to the ancient Turkic era has been collected.

From history, we will return to the beauty of nature, going to the secret Geyser Lake, which captivates with hypnotic shimmering colors – turquoise water bursting from the ground, mixing with the bright blue color of silt against the backdrop of dark coniferous taiga.

On the way to the final (and perhaps the main) point of the second day, we will make a penultimate stop – this time in the Kurai steppe. Here, nature will once again deprive us of the gift of speech, forcing us to silently admire the snow-white peaks of the mountains. If we're lucky, these capricious celestials will peek out from behind their cloudy curtains to greet their delighted viewers.

Leaving them behind, we will continue our journey along the dusty steppe road, and around one of its turns, a completely unearthly beauty will appear before us. This is the Kyzyl-Chin glade, which is not accidentally compared to Martian landscapes – due to the slopes painted in the most intricate colors: from lilac, through the entire palette of red and green to boiling white.

You can spend all the remaining strength walking around these extreme landscapes, because after Mars we will again move to Earth – in cozy houses on the bank of the Chuya River, where you can share your emotions with each other, enjoying dinner prepared by our chef.

Day 3

The third day on the Golden Ring of Altai promises us a separation from the Chuysky Trakt and the Chuya River, but prepares for a meeting with new wonders. As soon as we turn off the main Altai road, we will begin to immerse ourselves in the gorge of a small but very capricious mountain river Chibitka. This is the path to the Ulagansky Pass, at the foot of which a whole necklace of enchanting lakes has scattered. Among them, the Dead Lake is the most mysterious, which has long been shrouded in myths and legends. We will learn about them directly on the lake shore. But let's not linger here for a long time – there is still a whole day ahead, full of adventures.

From the depths of legends again upwards – to the top of the Ulagansky Pass (2080 meters), from where the Mountain Altai will reveal to us all the boundless charm of its valleys. To one of them we will go down a long descent to the village of Ulagan, where asphalt ends completely and a dirt road begins.

Here lies the valley of Pazyrik burial mounds – five large burial sites dating back to the 5th-4th centuries. BC. Findings made in these places are stored in the State Hermitage and have high historical and cultural value. And work to restore the historical appearance of the burial mounds is ongoing even today.

From the open-air historical museum, the road will lead us to the gallery of Altai landscapes, where we will meet the Katu-Yaryk Pass, leading to the Chulyshmanskaya Valley. Further – only down the serpentine in search of a picturesque place for lunch and contemplation. While the chef prepares lunch, we will take a walk to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Altai – Kurkure. The walk will take about 2 hours along an easy path along the Chulyshman River. Having had lunch and regaining strength, we will move on along the Chulyshman River valley and make a stop opposite the Ak-Korum glade, which will become the place of tonight's lodging with a delicious dinner and a Russian bath.

Day 4

After waking up and a hearty breakfast, we will again plunge headlong into Altai nature. Having crossed the river Chulyshman by boat, we will walk to the elevation to the stone mushrooms. Here we can see a whole valley of giant blocks on thin legs, petrified in eternal silence by order of the heavenly office.

Having returned back, we will get into the car and go to the pearl of the Mountain Altai – Teletskoye Lake, which is also called the younger brother of Baikal. Here, on the southern shore of the lake, we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, a high-speed luxury-class boat – XO – will meet us, on which we will go almost the entire Teletskoye Lake. Surrounded by a dense curtain of reserved taiga with cascading waterfalls, it reflects in its mirror surface all the beauty and grandeur of Altai nature. Now, having slowed down the gained pace, we will be able to see this beauty in all its details.
