Biya River Tour

Treat yourself to an exciting adventure by going on a 2-hour guided tour of the rapids of the Biya River, which originates in Lake Teletskoye. Along the route, numerous rapids form on the river, which the airboat will overcome without much effort. You will be able to admire the ice hummocks and pristine rocks, get an unforgettable impression of the river bends and, perhaps, see the village of Kebezen, located 20 kilometers from Lake Teletskoye.

Getting to know the Tubalars

Altai is the homeland of the Turkic–speaking small peoples. Come with us to meet one of them, the Tubalars, who live along the Biya River and along the shores of Lake Teletskoye. During the 4-hour tour, we will walk 10 kilometers along the frozen Lake Teletskoye and 20 kilometers along the icy Biya River to the place where the Ortosh open-air ethno museum with traditional dwellings in the form of chopped yurts is located. Authentic items and household utensils are collected here, and the lifestyle of Altaians from the early twentieth century has been reconstructed. Baba Pana, an indigenous inhabitant of Altai, will become our guide to the world of Tubalar culture, who will reveal the secret of ancient rituals, tell about local beliefs and about the life of Tubalars in the recent past.
