Altai Golden Ring Tour

The second day will prepare us for a huge adventure with a length of 460 kilometers along one of the most picturesque roads on the planet – the Chuyskiy highway, which passes through the majestic mountains through magnificent passes. At the top of one of them – the Seminsky pass – we will make the first stop, from where inconceivable in their beauty views of Sarlyk mountain will be opened for us, scratching by its top gray-haired clouds, slowly passing by.

Inspired by this poetic beauty, we will continue our way to the next pass – Chike-Taman. Here we have planned not only the stop, but also th climbing to the observation platform, from where we can see the old Chuyskiy highway, along which traders and warriors have passed for centuries.

After admiring this view, we will go down to have lunch on the bank of the swirling mountain river. As we descend, we will witness a mystical performance when the mountains, like the gods come to life, will become higher and more threatening, and the grass, on the contrary, lower and quieter.

And back on the road. Today we are going to meet again with an old friend – the mountain beauty Katun river. At our next stop, it will join its younger sister, Chuya, in a trembling embrace. This place of power is full of historical and archaeological monuments associated with the movement of ancient Altai peoples. A little further along the Chuyskiy highway, we will see traces of their civilization – the Kalbak-Tash natural limit has a grand collection of more than three thousand ancient petroglyphs and rock paintings from the Neolithic Age to the Old Turkic Age.

From history, we will again turn to the beauty of nature, going to the secret Geyser lake, which fascinates with the hypnotic shimmer of colors - turquoise water gushing from the ground, mixing with the bright blue color or against the background of blue-green dark-coniferous taiga.

On the way to the final (and perhaps the main) point of the second day, we will make the second last stop – this time in the Kurai steppe. Here nature will once again deprive us of the power of speech, forcing us to silently admire the snow-white mountain peaks. If you are lucky, these capricious celestials will look out of their cloud curtains to greet their admiring audience.

Leaving them behind, we will continue our way along the dusty steppe road, and at one of its turns we will see a completely heavenly beauty. This is the Kyzyl-Chin natural limit, which is not coincidentally compared to Martian landscapes – because of the slopes, painted in the most intricate colors: from purple, through the entire palette of red and green to pristine white.

You can spend all your remaining energy to walk through these transcendent landscapes, because after the Mars we will be transported back to the Earth – to cozy houses on the bank of the Chuya river, where you can share your emotions with each other while enjoying a dinner cooked by our chef.

After an early rise and a hearty breakfast, we will dive into the Altai nature again. Having crossed the Chulyshman river by boat, we will walk to a hill to the stone mushrooms. Here we can see a whole valley of giant blocks on thin legs, frozen in eternal silence by the order of the celestial chancellery.

Having returned back, we will get into a car and proceed to the pearl of Altai Mountains - Teletskoe lake, which is also called the younger brother of Lake Baikal. Here, on the southern shore of the lake we will stop for a lunch. After noon we will be met by a luxury fast boat - XO, which will take us through almost the entire Teletskoe lake. Surrounded by a dense curtain of preserved taiga with cascading waterfalls, it reflects in its mirror surface all the charm and grandeur of the Altai nature. Now, if we slow down the pace, we can see this beauty in every detail.
